Terms of use

The rules for using Mallket Nepal as a customer.

These terms are being finalised with legal advice and may change. We will tell you about important changes.

Mallket Nepal (mallketnepal.com) is run by Mallket Nepal. In this page "we" and "Mallket" mean that business.

Using the site

  • By creating an account, placing an order or using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.
  • Give true information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Do not misuse the site: no fake orders, no attempts to break into the site or other accounts, no copying of the site's data by automated means, and nothing illegal.

How Mallket works

Mallket is a marketplace. Independent sellers list the products. Mallket collects your payment, collects the parcel from each seller, delivers your order, and pays the seller later. Each product shows whether it is Made in Nepal or Imported, and who sells it. Descriptions and photos are provided by sellers; we check new products before they go on sale, but we cannot promise that every detail is perfect. If something is wrong, use the return process.

Prices and orders

  • Prices are in Nepali rupees. We always recalculate prices and totals on our server at checkout; the total shown at the end is the amount you pay.
  • Your order is a request to buy. We may cancel an order, with a written reason, for example if a price was wrong, an item is out of stock, or we suspect fraud. If you had already paid, we refund you.
  • When you place an order, the items are taken out of stock for you. For an online order that is not yet paid, we hold them for 30 minutes. After that they are released, and you can still pay if they are available.

Payment

  • You pay Mallket, not the seller. Online orders are only marked paid after the payment provider confirms the payment to our server.
  • Cash on Delivery is available for orders up to NPR 25,000 when you are signed in. You pay the rider when the order arrives.

Delivery, returns and refunds

Delivery is described on the Delivery page: NPR 150 delivery fee under NPR 2,000, free from NPR 2,000. You can ask to return an item within 7 days of delivery, as described on the Returns & refunds page. If we refuse a return or cancel an order, we always write the reason on your order.

Reviews

  • Only customers who received a product can review it. Be honest and respectful. We may hide reviews that break the rules (for example abusive words), and we write the reason.
  • By posting a review you allow Mallket and the seller to show it on the site.

Ads

Some pages show ads. They are always labelled Sponsored. Mallket does not control what advertisers sell; please take care when you leave our site through an ad.

Our content

The Mallket name, logo, design and the site's own text belong to Mallket. Sellers keep the rights to their own photos and descriptions and allow us to show them on the site. You may not copy the site's content for other uses without permission.

Limits of our responsibility

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will never be interrupted or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, Mallket is not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, and our responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights that the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
